Green Chilli Chutney Recipe
INGREDIENTS OF GREEN CHILLI CHUTNEY
- 12 green chilli
- 4 curry leaves
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon asafoetida
- 1 tablespoon chana dal
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon refined oil
- salt as required
- water as required
- 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
- 1 teaspoon tamarind paste
- 1 teaspoon powdered jaggery
HOW TO MAKE GREEN CHILLI CHUTNEY
Step 1 / 6
To prepare this easy chutney, heat oil in a pan over medium flame and mustard seeds to it. Let them splutter and then add the curry leaves, asafoetida and ginger.

Now, add the chana dal and stir fry them. Add the roughly chopped green chillies as well.

Turn off the flame and let them cool down.

Once cooled, add them to the food processor and along with the salt, tamarind paste, coriander leaves, jaggery, lemon juice and water as required. Blend them into a smooth puree.

Transfer to a small bowl and serve.

Remove from flame. Garnish with walnuts. Serve with idli or dosa.
